Biography
In my artistic practice, I aim to bridge the gap between art and science. My work delves into the profound connections between light, colour, and sound, exploring how these elements interact and resonate within our everyday environments. At the core of my research is a deep fascination with the wavelengths, frequencies, and human perception that define these sensory experiences and shape our interaction with the world.
My interdisciplinary exploration began with a formal education in textile design at Nottingham Trent University (2020), where I developed a strong foundation in pigments, colour theory, human vision, and the emotional responses to colour and shape while collaborating with the Visually Impaired Association. I further expanded this research during my advanced studies in Art and Science at Central Saint Martins (2022), focusing on human perception and investigating the scientific principles underlying visual and auditory phenomena. These concepts have been expressed through my artistic practice, and this multi-sensory approach has shaped my work around the movements of Spiritualist and Mediumistic Art.
I seek to unravel the complex relationships between the sensory inputs we receive and our psychological and emotional responses. One of my primary goals is to invite the viewer to engage with the beauty of both large-scale and micro-scale paintings. My work is grounded in the visualisation of fluid dots that symbolise light and the shapes of our surroundings on a macroscopic scale. Through this, I aim to evoke emotional relief and foster a deeper appreciation of the subtle yet powerful interactions between light, colour, sound, and human perception.
What sets my work apart is its rootedness in both scientific methodology and spiritual exploration. My engagement with Spiritualist Art allows me to transcend the tangible, attempting to capture and communicate the ineffable aspects of existence. This fusion of the rational and mystical reflects my belief in the interconnectedness of all things — a holistic view central to my artistic vision. Through this exploration, I strive to create art that not only captivates the senses but also engages the mind and spirit, offering a multidimensional experience that resonates on many levels. My work seeks not only to provoke thought but also to offer a space for calm reflection, providing a sanctuary from the overwhelming stimuli of daily life.
Throughout my career, I have sought to challenge and expand the conventional boundaries of art. My participation in international exhibitions and the recognition I have received underscore the impact of my approach. Yet beyond accolades, my greatest aspiration is to inspire others — to provoke thought, ignite curiosity, and encourage a deeper exploration of the sensory world, while fostering a sense of calmness and inner peace through my paintings.
